DYES: Procion Reactive

Procion® Fiber-Reactive dyes are as close to permanent as dyes get (light-fast, wash-fast, boil-fast) on most cellulosic fibers (cotton, rayon, linen, jute, hemp, ramie), even on silk and wool. And they take in cold water (85F), ideal for batik and tie-dye. Washing Soda is the activator of choice, Urea brightens tie-dyes, sodium alginate is a thickener (use to make dye into paint).
