Asheville is a city of about 60,000, and also the hub of an area where a quarter-million people work and live, a surprising percentage of whom earn their livelihood through handicrafts.

EARTH GUILD inhabits a reconditioned building at 33 Haywood Street in the center of Downtown Asheville. Exit 4C off of I-240 is the closest one.

FROM I-26. Head West on I-26 until it ends just outside (South and a little West) of Asheville. Now take I-240 to Exit 4C (Montford Ave. & Haywood St. Also the Civic Center). There is a light at the top of the ramp. Turn left onto Haywood Street and follow it past the Civic Center and the Library (both on your left). The street curves to the right. Go past Walnut St. on the left, and we are in the middle of the next block, also on the left. A big yellow building with green letters. There is sometimes parking on the street, and the first hour is free in any of the city parking garages.

FROM I-40 EAST. Take Exit 46 onto I-240. Then take Exit 4C (see above).

FROM I-40 WEST. Take Exit 53B (East of town) onto I-240. Then take Exit 4C. Coming from the East you will need to turn left at the light at the top of the ramp, onto Montford Ave. Take the bridge over the highway, turn left at the light onto Haywood St., now proceed as above.
