DYES: iDye/Poly, for 100% polyester and nylon iDye/Poly comes in soluble 14 gram packets that will dye 2 to 3 pounds of fabric. Prewash fabric to remove any sizings, softeners or finishes, and do your dyeing on a stove. Fill a stainless steel or enamel pot with just enough hot water for the fabric to move freely. Turn on medium to high heat. Add iDye to water and stir. Add pre-wetted garments or fabric and raise temperature to a simmer. Wash the garment with a mild detergent, and allow to dry. There are eight colors and two assists: Color Remover, which will remove or lighten a color and brighten whites; and Sun Blocker, which when added to the wash cycle will penetrate clothing and will block harmful UV rays. To dye blends, use iDye/Poly along with a dye appropriate to the non-polyester part of your fabric.
