BASKETRY: Painted Strips for Basket Weaving
| Since these strips are hand-painted, no two packages can be identical. They fall into these color groups; please tell us your preference in the notes, or by phone. | |
| These are hand-painted strips of 140 LB cotton rag cold press paper, for weaving baskets. The paper cathead baskets that adorn our store are made from this paper. Each package contains about fifty feet of 1/4" wide strips, and seventy-five feet of 3.5mm wide strips. Strips are 30" long. A package has enough to make two or three baskets, small to medium in size. You will also need scissors, white glue, many small clips (the toothless alligator kind works best), and cord for lashing. Basic instructions for a cat-head basket are included. | |
